From what we have been able to verify, nude pictures and photographs have been shown in the following classes at Freed-Hardeman University:

There may be others as well, but inasmuch as FHU leaders are not responding to our questions, we cannot verify others at this time. We do have copies of the slide presentation (containing nudes) that the students were required to study and know for Jim Gardner's Arts and Ideas class (fall of 2017), as well as a copy of the required textbook for Laquita Thomson's classes (Gardner’s Art Through the Ages: A Global History by Fred S. Kleiner). These are openly available for anyone wanting to investigate them and verify this information. Indeed, all one has to do is to visit one of these classes and they will, no doubt, get an eyeful, as did my daughter Rachael, when she visited one of these classes in 2017.

 

 

There has been no denial of the practice on the part of anyone involved, but only unscriptural arguments used to justify their evil deeds. We are, therefore, calling on these brethren to either give scriptural authority (Colossians 3:17) for what they are doing (which cannot be done) or to stop their ungodly practices.

It is my earnest prayer that godly brethren will not be indifferent towards these sins, but make their concerns known to the FHU leadership. There is no doubt in my mind that our actions will have eternal consequences for us all.
